'QUEEN SOL'
I produced this piece as a nod to Solange, a lady who despite being in the public eye, still rocked her natural hair, even before it was 'fashionable'.
Large numbers of African women have in recent times turned their backs on hair straightening, that is often harmful to their health, returning to accepting and now loving/embracing the myriad of styles and designs available to them, but it wasn't always that way.
Solange was one of the first to love those curly locks and wore them with pride and dignity. Big respect.
‘Queen Sol’ – this was produced with no reference photo. I do not do celebrity pictures as a rule, so don’t expect to see many more..
